Serhii Brandt - Ukrainian artist born in Zhytomyr.
He took the first steps towards learning the world of beauty at the children's art school in Zhytomyr, where the teacher inspired and instilled a love for watercolors. In 1982, he graduated from the RHSSH named after T.G. Shevchenko in Kyiv. After that, there were no more questions about choosing a profession, and Serhiy decided to enter the best art university in Ukraine - the Kyiv State Art Institute (now the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture) at the Faculty of Architecture.
"After graduation, I worked as an architect, but I was always attracted to the artistic part of this profession. That is why he started painting professionally since 1991" - the artist tells.
Now lives and works in Kyiv. He mainly creates works in the classical technique of watercolor and oil painting. However, when there are really interesting orders, he likes to experiment with paints, techniques and
structures.
According to Serhii: "The subjects of my works are very diverse: from floral still lifes to antique paintings. But architectural education determined the main and most favorite direction in my work - the urban landscape. I consider Kyiv to be the best city that inspires. Here you can always find places for inspiration, which is why the largest number of my works are dedicated to him".
